01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
Behind each glass poured at Park Bar, subtle notes of Japanese botanicals and steeped fruits drift into focus. Tucked into the residential streets of Kugayama, this neighborhood bar makes it easy to step in for thoughtfully constructed cocktails and an expansive whisky list. An exploratory approach to drink-making pairs with warm hospitality, creating an atmosphere that suits solo drinkers just as well as quiet late-night conversations.
Original Cocktails Rooted in Botanicals and Fruit
Sitting at the counter, the signature cocktails are the natural place to begin. The Hinoki Moscow Mule carries a crisp thread of Japanese cypress aroma, while choices like the Watermelon and Rose Gin and Tonic, the Bloody Burdock, and the Sansho Negroni showcase imaginative flavor balances. The shelf also features house gins infused with seasonal fruit alongside aged fruit liqueurs, including ume and quince infusions dating back across the Showa and Heisei eras, making the menu a pleasure to read through.
Distilleries Across the Globe and Mindful Bar Bites
Scotch and bourbon options are generous, catering to a wide spectrum of palates. Single malts span from Highland bottlings like Glenmorangie to Islay staples including Laphroaig 10 Year Old and Ardbeg 10 Year Old, complemented by American bourbons such as Maker's Mark Red Top and Knob Creek. To accompany the drinks, the kitchen provides a tight selection of savory bites, from goat cheese and smoked liver to a 3-sausage platter.
